Bar Associations

Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) Washington State Bar Association logo
An organization consisting of all practicing attorneys in the state.

  • Lawyer Directory: a searchable database of members
  • Legal Community: lists of directories of  county, minority, specialty bar associations and groups within the WSBA

King County Bar Association
A voluntary bar association of attorneys working in King County.

State & Local Government

Directories for agencies, officials, tribes, and other governmental units.

Washington State Legislature

Washington State Court Directories
Includes directories for all state courts, trial and appellate.


Municipal Research & Services Center
A nonprofit organization providing services and information to city and county governments and officials in Washington State. Includes Washington City and Town Profiles, which provides directories and list of officials.


Legal Service Providers

In addition to private attorneys, these organizations provide free or low-cost legal information, referral, and/or services.

Northwest Justice Project
A publicly funded legal aid service. Provides legal advice and assistance on civil law matters (not criminal) to low-income people.

Washington LawHelp
A website providing free legal information and links to free and low-cost legal service providers.


Legal Directories

Avvo is a free online directory of attorneys.

Law Schools

These law schools offer clinics in which law students work under the supervision of attorneys. They may accept walk-in clients on a limited basis.
