Next week, April 23-29, is National Crime Victims' Rights Week. The Justice Department's Office for Victims of Crime website provides information and materials to mark this event.

The 2006 Resource Guide for National Crime Victims' Right Week includes:

  • camera-ready artwork for posters, bookmarks, and bumper stickers
  • a chronological overview of the history of victims' rights developments in the United States
  • statistics
  • tips for promoting victim and community awareness

The page also links to related information, such as:

  • grants and funding opportunities
  • information for a wide variety of victims and on numerous topics (American Indians, campus crime, child abuse, civil legal remedies, community crisis response,  drunk driving, hate and bias crimes, kid-friendly resources, post-traumatic stress disorders, state programs, toll-free numbers, victims with disabilities, workplace violence, etc.
