Addresses, State of the Union messages, debates, and other public papers of
the Presidents--from Hoover to Bush II--are the notable contents of the
American Presidency Project provided by the University of California-Santa
Barbara.
The material is organized into major categories:
- data
- documents
- elections
- media.
Data includes statistics on Presidential popularity, number of political
appearances, executive orders, and popular and electoral vote mandates.
Documents include speech and address transcripts, presidential nomination
acceptance speeches, political party platforms, and materials relating to the
2000 election controversy.
Election data going back to 1828 includes number of electoral votes and
popular vote tallies for each candidate.
The media category highlights audio and video clips of the Presidents.
The site also features a list of links to Presidential museums and
libraries.
The collection is searchable by keyword and users may browse by month and
year.
Another basic source for Presidential materials is the official Public
Papers of the Presidents,
