Washington Judicial Discipline Database, http://www.cjc.state.wa.us/search/search_disclaimer.htm

The Washington State Commission on Judicial Discipline recently announced the availability of a comprehensive database of judicial discipline actions. The database includes public actions since the establishment of the Commission's predecessor, the Judicial Qualifications Commission, in December 1980.

The database may be searched by:

  • first name and/or last name
  • type of disciplinary action taken
  • county
  • court level
  • date

Search results are presented in chronological order and include links to related documents through the complaint number. Available documents include formal complaints, answers to complaints, reports and recommendations, Supreme Court opinions, letters of admonishment, and other disciplinary documents.

This database is more comprehensive than either of the comparable databases on LexisNexis (WASH;WAJETH) or Westlaw (WAETH-DISP).

For additional information about Washington ethics opinions concerning judges, attorneys, and executive branch employees, see the guide on Washington Ethics Opinions.
