Self-described as the "largest and most comprehensive site dedicated to
tribal justice systems, personnel and tribal law," the Center is indeed a top
site for researchers interested in Native American law. The National American
Indian Court Judges Association is its sponsor.
The site includes:
- searchable directories of tribal constitutions, codes, and bylaws
- a searchable directory of tribal courts
- a searchable collection of nearly 2000 tribal court opinions (also
available to law students via VersusLaw)
- an exhaustive list of publications
For additional information on conducting research in Indian law, see the
Library's guide on Indian Legal Research.
We have also indexed the proceedings of
the University of Washington Law School's annual Indian Law symposia and
conferences.
