Looking for a free source for tracking the status of Congressional bills?
GovTrack is the answer.
This free website lets you select subjects or bills to monitor and then
sends you email messages about action on those items. LexisNexis and Westlaw
provide similar services, but they are available only to users with
subscriptions. Thomas, http://thomas.loc.gov,
provides bill text and status information, but does not offer a monitoring
service.
GovTrack obtains its data from Thomas and other government websites and is
generally two days behind current events. |
