The Gallagher Law Library website is your source for loads of information
relating to the Library and legal research.
The homepage has been slightly redesigned and now includes a search window
for keyword searching of the Law Library catalog, MARIAN.
Quick Info includes links to the Library's hours page and a new staff
directory. With the library maps you can learn your way around both floors of
the Library
The Research heading includes a new page called
Legal Databases & Indexes. Here you will
find links to and descriptions of key commercial online services for finding law
review articles, tax and environmental law materials, and primary law sources
(cases, statutes, and regulations). This page supplements the
Internet Legal Resources page, which
links to free sources of U.S. and Washington State primary law sources. Our
extensive collection of more than 100 legal research guides will direct you to
print sources, commercial databases, and websites useful for conducting many
types of legal research.
The Law Students heading highlights the Email Reference Form available
exclusively for UW law students. Reference librarians monitor this email service
whenever the reference office is open, so you can expect a prompt reply to your
questions. Links to the UW Law School exam archive and to the law school pages
of LexisNexis and Westlaw are also found under this heading. And if you want to
use your home computer to access the many commercial online sources the Library
provides, read Connecting to Online Library Resources.
The right side of the homepage provides new and updated information about the
Library and its services. You'll find the weekly contents of the Law Library
News column from the Crier, the Website of the Week, and other timely news.
The Site Search box at the upper right hand corner is the quickest way to
find specific pages on the website.
We appreciate your comments and suggestions about the Law Library website.
