National Center for Charitable Statistics,

Individuals in which state made the largest charitable contributions in 2001 (based on itemized deductions)?

How many Washington charitable organizations (registered 501(c)(3) organizations) have assets greater than $100 million?

Which state has the greatest number of registered charitable organizations?

These and similar questions can be answered by visiting the National Center for Charitable Statistics. The Center is a program of the Urban Institute's Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy. Using statistics compiled by the Internal Revenue Service, other government agencies, and private sector sources, the Center makes available tables of statistics on pre-set and customizable categories.

Oh, yes. Answers to the questions above are Utah, 54, and California.
