The recent news surrounding convicted child molester Edward Harvey Stokes heightened community awareness about sex offenders in our midst. The Washington State Sex Offender Information Center allows users to determine if a registered sex offender lives in their neighborhood.

The database may be searched by:

  • zip code
  • city
  • county
  • offender's name
  • type of conviction

Information about individual sex offenders includes:

  • name
  • photograph
  • approximate address
  • gender
  • race
  • age
  • hair and eye color
  • crime
  • county of conviction

Information is provided for Level II and Level III sex offenders, those posing a moderate to high risk of re-offending.

The website includes additional information about:

  • sheriffs' offices
  • frequently asked questions (FAQs)
  • other agencies and organizations
  • sex offender registration requirements
  • characteristics and behavioral indicators of adults who molest children
