UCLA Center for Communication Policy,

The Center is "is a forum for the discussion and development of policy alternatives addressing the leading issues in media and communication." It sponsors research, seminars, and conferences nationally and globally.

Its Internet Report--now in its third year--documents the social and cultural changes wrought by use of the Internet. For three years, the Center monitored violence on the major networks and produced reports on violence in television. The full text of these reports are available at the Center's website.

The Anderson Entertainment Media Program is a part of the Center. It focuses on studying shifts in long-standing business models in the entertainment industry, "especially on the impact of technology, globalization, and deregulation on both content and distribution."
