2016 - present
This year: Gallagher interns are assigned to work 8 hrs./wk in the Reference & Circulation Departments. In addition, extra hours are available for those interns interested in exploring other facets of the Law Library, including Technical Services.

2013 - 2016
These years: Gallagher interns are assigned to work 5 hrs./wk in the Reference Department. This change in the program, the first in many years, was necessitated by a deep budget cut to the Law Library and a bumpy implementation of the new ILS, ExLibris, reducing the time other departments have to train and educate interns.

2012/2013
This year: Gallagher interns are assigned to work 11 hrs./wk. There will be opportunities for experience in Reference, Circulation, Technical Services, and possibly other library departments. An additional hour-long education session called Reference Talks will be required for interns in fall and winter quarters, about five sessions per quarter. All intern time will be paid, including Reference Talks. Optional, unpaid Reference Talks will be held spring quarter. A 2-day Library Camp was held before the school year started to give the interns some law library and reference basics. All interns are assigned to Gallagher Law Library.
