2/16/2017 Kristen Rowlett (Class of 2014) has been promoted to International Law Reference Librarian and Instructional Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University School of Law.
2/1/2017 Tami Gierloff (1990) and George Pike (1988) contributed to the Memorial for Peter S. Nycum in Law Library Journal, Vol. 108, no. 4, Fall 2016.
2/1/2017 Ingrid Mattson (2012) co-authored "Striking the Right Work/Life Balance" with Anna Russell in AALL Spectrum, Vol. 21. no. 3, January/February 2017.
2/1/2017 Stewart Caton (2015) published "Perspectives: Changes in Reference Assistance and Collection Development in the Digital Age" in Legal Reference Services Quarterly, Vol 35, no. 2, April-June 2016.
1/25/2017 Vicenc Feliu (Class of 2005) has been appointed to the position of Associate Dean for Library Services & Professor of Law at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, Panza Maurer Law Library.
12/20/2016 Anita Steele (Class of 1972) passed away on December 4, 2016. Professor Steele served as professor of law emerita at Seattle University. She received her JD in 1971 from the University of Virginia School of Law, after which she moved to Seattle, Washington, where she obtained a degree in Law Library Science from the University of Washington in 1972. Shortly after, she joined the faculty of a brand-new law school at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, serving as director of the law library and assistant professor of law. Throughout her time there, she was promoted to associate professor and then to professor, while remaining law library director, until her retirement in 1999.
12/2/2016 Patrick Charles (Class of 1994) has been appointed as an Executive Committee Member to the AALS Section on Law Libraries and Legal Information Officers for 2017-2020.
11/10/2016 Carla Wale (Class of 2011) was elected VP / Pres-Elect of the Greater Philadelphia Law Library Association. Her duties include planning the GPLLA Annual Institute, the annual online Legal Research Course, and all professional programming.
11/10/2016 Carla Wale (Class of 2011) co-edited "Digital Rights Management: The Librarian’s Guide" that was recently published by Rowman & Littlefield. Jordan Jefferson (Class of 2011) & Roberta Studwell also authored chapters in this book.
11/9/2016 Ingrid Mattson (Class of 2012) is the VP/President-elect of the Ohio Regional Association of Law Libraries. As part of her duties, Ingrid will serve as the Education Committee Chair and plan the annual conference for Oct. 2017.
