Using HHBJ to Search for Cases

1. Insert the CD ROM in the computer.
2. Click the "文献ＣＤ" icon on the desktop:
   

3. Select 判例 ("cases").
   

4. For easier searching, select the 一括入力 mode.
    (一括入力 mode allows easier searching, with all possible search fields displayed (see below)).
   

1. "And/Or" (Boolean Searching):  Use an asterisk (*) for AND, and the plus sign (+) for OR; To narrow the serach more, add the year of the case (under 事件番号).
   

2. The above search results in one hit (see below under 複合 [combine]).
   

3. The detailed (full) case record (判例評細) is shown here.  Information incudes the Case Name (表題), date (裁判年月日), court (裁判所), case number (事件番号), Publication name (出典), category (分類), relevant statute (法条), subject heading (事項索引),
