Updated Sept. 5, 2014.
Copy & Send is a fee-based service that supports the research needs of the public by making copies of Gallagher Law Library materials. Prices cover the cost of supplying materials but do not generate additional revenue for the Law Library or the UW School of Law.
We will copy and send material only when a specific, correct, and complete citation is given.
Updating is limited to pocket part material. We do not Shepardize or KeyCite, update Code of Federal Regulations citations with the Federal Register, or perform other legal research.
We charge per citation to copy and send material. If the cite is for only a page or a few pages in an article or case, the full citation charge still applies. Individual briefs are considered separate citations.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purposes other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copy order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
Use the Copy & Send Order Form to request copies.
