Elizabeth F. Loftus has achieved international recognition for her
ground-breaking studies on human memory. Her work is closely tied to law
because of its implications for the reliability of eyewitness testimony.
From 1973 to 2002, she was on the faculty of the University of Washington
Psychology Department and she held an adjunct appointment in the School of
Law.
In 2002, Prof. Loftus moved to the University of California at Irvine,
but she retains affiliate appointments in the UW Psychology Department and
School of Law.
In 1984, she made available to the Law Library a portion of a grant to
acquire books on eyewitness testimony and in the broader area of law and
social science. |
