When Edwin J. Friedman (class of 1934) died in
1981, his partners established a fund in honor of him and Sam L. Levinson
(class of 1925), as the founders of the firm that was by then Levinson,
Friedman, Vhugen, Duggan, Bland & Horowitz.
The partners wrote:
Together they forged a reputation for competence and excellence in the
representation of their clients. The name Levinson & Friedman on a pleading
indicated to opponents that they were in for a tough but fair and honest
fight. It was this reputation that caused us and our associates to seek out
this firm for employment.
Mr. Levinson added to the fund in a bequest when he died in 1995. The
Levinson & Friedman Fund supports scholarships as well as Library
acquisitions. |
