John J. Langenbach Endowed Fund |

A 1919 graduate of the University of Washington School of
Law, John J. Langenbach (1893-1991) practiced law in South Bend (Pacific
County), Washington, before beginning a long judicial career.
He served as the superior court judge for Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties from 1949 until he retired in 1965. He was appointed a justice of the Washington State Supreme Court later in 1965 and served until 1968. Judge Langenbach made a gift to the University of Washington, remembering two schools in the John J. Langenbach Endowed Fund for Law Library acquisitions and the Dorothy E. Langenbach Endowed Scholarship Fund in the School of Nursing. |
