Gerald N. Curtis
Gerald
N. Curtis, a member of the Law School's class of 1953, has generously
provided the funds for a preservation project, digitizing and creating a
facsimile set of Washington Territory's session laws. This project will
enable researchers here and at other libraries to use these laws (1854-1888)
without damaging the original, rare volumes.
After earning his law degree, Mr. Curtis completed a second degree program in engineering; he holds both a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, both from the University of Washington. His career has ranged from engineering (16 years as an engineer at the Boeing Company) to estate planning, land use, and real estate law. He has had an interest in residential construction most of his life and after Boeing, worked as a production manager and in-house counsel in senior housing development.
He considers his most important job to be his service as a combat infantry soldier in the World War II Italian campaign.
