6 major law school library catalogs
More About ShareLaw
Updated Feb. 7, 2008.
ShareLaw is a catalog that combines the holdings of the Gallagher Law Library and five other major law school libraries:
- George Washington University Law Library
- Tarlton Law Library (University of Texas at Austin)
- University of California-Berkeley Law Library
- University of Miami Law Library
- Yale Law Library
University of Washington School of Law faculty, staff, and students may directly request items found in ShareLaw. The ShareLaw catalog may be searched by anyone with Internet access, but the direct borrowing function is restricted to faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students at participating institutions.
We recommend that UW School of Law faculty, students, and staff who are looking for an item that is not in the Gallagher Law Library, first try the Summit catalog. [More About Summit] If the item is not available in Summit, repeat your search in ShareLaw. Click on the orange "ShareLaw" button near the top of the Gallagher Law Library catalog search page.
If the item you want is available, click on the "Request This Item" link and follow the prompts. You will need the barcode number that is found on the back of your University of Washington identification (Husky) card.
Books requested through ShareLaw may be kept for 3 weeks and may be renewed once for another 3-week period.
Contact staff at the Circulation or Reference desks for more information.
